Title: BBC Radio Gloucs - Harry SHUKER any census please
Post by: BBC Radio Gloucs on Saturday 14 October 06 15:22 BST (UK)
Would it be possible to find Harry SHUKER and family on any census please?

Harry was born in Wrexham in 1899, possible address 12 Offa Terrace, Bersham.

His father was a railway guard, so the family might have moved around a bit.  His brother was Edward and sister Dolly (she was possibly older and he was younger).

Many thanks!

Thank you so much for that information - my friend had no idea of the parents' names etc!

Is there a place of birth for Harriett please?

[

Not sure if this is relevant or helps; Joseph Shuker, married Harriet Ellis at Market Drayton, Salop. abt Dec.1865 According to my records they had 9 children, all dates approximate:- William 1866;Emma 1868; Martha 1870; Henry 1872; Joseph 1874; George 1876; Charles Edward 1879; Alfred 1884 and Thomas Ernest 1886;

Joseph Shuker b.1838 in Audlem was the first cousin of my ancestor, William Thomas Shuker, b.1834 at Audlem. Common ancestor William Shuker, b.1769 at Audlem, their grandfather!!

Hi I am descended from the Shukers of Audlem and have compiled a 40 page dictionary of the family including the names you mention.

It is the form of a dictionary giving

Persons name/Baptism/ Place of Baptism/ [parents name 1st one being the immdeiate descendent of the Shukers then marriage details place and date then next parents name and detals] next when married spouses details followed by children.

I am happy to pass this information on to anybody that wants it. It is colour coded so you can follow each branch of the family tree.

Please feel free to message me

Hi - thanks for the replies to this thread.

Unfortunately, the person who was looking wasn't a Rootschat member at the time - we were doing a "roadshow" at the time and they were present at that.

We can only hope that they see this and get back in touch.

Thanks for your interest and I hope you continue to enjoy Rootschat  :D

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)
