looking for place & dob for david arkley born greenock married barbara mccallum 26/oct/1835 at middle or new parish, greenock, renfrew, scotland
had son arthur arkley dob 1849 scotland
arthur married sarah ann rothwell 1/may/1869 in burnley, lancashire
can anyone help in tracing david or any other family members in scotland
any info much appreciated

i think ive found him from your information
just one think as im new to this and it may seem a silly question but what is LDS site?
as my ancestors originated in scotland do you think its worth my while registering with a scottish site to get more info and if so can you recommend any
once again thanks alot as there is only me left from the originally arkleys from scotland (and of course my off spring) would love to find out where i originally came from but no oldies to ask any questions

You can search on (for a fee) www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
but you won't get any images before 1855. I'll try and check over the week-end to see if there were any other David Arkleys born in Greenock around 1814.

1814 as this is in the glasgow area and i was always told he was a pilot for the boats on the river clyde
im trying to follow this up but its hard work
