Title: Loningborough hundred?
Post by: panda40 on Friday 17 November 06 21:41 GMT (UK)
Good evening everyone

Lonningborough hundred Kent

Found this place mentioned in the parish registers when carring out some research but could not get the correct spelling from the written text. Have just come across it on a census return. Its near Elham as far as I can make out. Does anyone know of a link that will give me more information?

Many thanks in advance. I only want to know where abouts it is I all ready know who came from there.

regards panda

The 1847 Kent directory lists Acrise, Elham, Lyminge and Paddlesworth in Loningborough so a tad different from Bearkat's link (Stelling is under Stouting and Upper Hardres under Bridge/Petham just in case they were the villages you were looking at).
