Letters of Administration of the personal estate of David Newell late of Craignageeragh County Antrim Farmer who died 6 July 1892 at same place were granted at Belfast to James Newell of Craignageeragh Farmer the Son. David was 74 when he died. His wife was still alive (according to the certificate). Informant was son John.
The above probate file will have been destroyed in the 1922 fire.

Probate of the Will and three Codicils of John Newell late of Craignageeragh County Antrim Farmer (Retired) who died 2 May 1910 granted at Belfast to James Newell Carrier and Wilson McKeown Solicitor
The above probate file should be in PRONI, in paper format.
David’s wife is probably Elizabeth Newell who died at Craignageeragh on 6.4.1892, aged 81. She is named as wife of David Newell, farmer. So she pre-deceased him. I think the status on his death certificate as still married is probably an error.
David Newell Born 1818 died 1892 Married to Elizabeth 2 Betsie"McMeekin, also passed in 1892, County Antrim. Craignageeragh .

As yet, there are no death records on-line pre 1878 on IrishGenealogy.ie, but hopefully in the not-too-distant future. However, you can order photocopies of the records.
