Thank you, John.  I have several relatives who lived in that area in and around Luton as well and had no idea where to look for their graves.  Much thanks for the link!

Hi Poppy

Is there any chance Alexander's address could have been Gardenia Avenue? The reason I ask is that I live in Luton and have never hear of Cordonia Avenue. I thought it may hinder your research if "Cordonia" is in fact "Gardenia".

Hope you didn't mind me butting in there!

Sharon

Hi Poppy

As far as I know Gardenia Avenue would still have all it's original houses.  Westmorland Avenue definitely does.  I will try to pop along there over the weekend and take photos if you would like some?

Hi Poppy
Sorry for the delay.  I went to Gardenia Avenue and number 22 is no longer there!  Number 20 is but 18 is also missing.  It looks as though the houses each side of 20 were demolished for some reason.  I did take a photo but I figured you wouldn't want a photo of a gap!
I'm sorry I couldn't be more help and will have a look for the Westmorland Avenue house next time I am in that end of town.
