Hello All
I am looking for John Robson born 1805 in Corbridge on the 1841 Census he was Joiner By Trade but turned his hand to any work, he is not with his family in 1841 and I am wondering where he was.
Maybe someone can help find him.
Regards

Allan, I have had a look at all the John Robsons in Durham area, none were born out of the county. All but two seemed to be with their family.
I assume from what you said he knew he was from Northumberland.
He could well have been around in December/January 1841 since his wife had their daughter in October. ;) but had to go look for work elsewhere. The census was 6th/7th June so he could easily have come back for the birth.

Is this John Robson any relation to James Robson born about 1783? He had a granddaughter called Sarah Jane but I have no father or mother.
James Robson died in Hartlepool in 1873.
