Post by: melv on Sunday 08 April 07 19:39 BST (UK)
i wonder if anyone could help me on this.  on my gg/fathers birth cert, ABRAHAM BELL, born 1870, it gives his place of birth as 8 ballycessy, and his fathers dwelling place as 9 ballycessy, and occupation as farm servant, can anyone relate these address to any farm in that area.

Where is this information from? the actual certificate or something transcribed?
There is a townland in Co. Antrim called Ballysessy in the parish of Camlin, near Glenavy.
The IGI lists 3 children to Charles Bell & Alice Lavery:
1. Abraham born 1870 Co. Antrim
2. Charlotte bovrn 1879 Belfast
3. Charles 1881 Belfast

Crumlin might be the registration district rather than the actual place of birth.
