Hi
I'm looking for George Cooper b 1821 in Bilston, Staffs. His parents were William & Rebecca.
I believe he was married 3 times.
1 - ?
2 - Maria Beeson, 1870 in B'ham
3 - Sarah Latham, 1876, in B'ham
The 1871 census shows him living in Birmingham in Camden St, with his second wife Maria Beeson (who was previously married to 1 - George Davis 1842 in Somerset and 2 - William Beeson early 1850s in Birmingham). His occupation is a Japanner and the census also shows he had a son William b 1853 in Bilston, Staffs.
regards

Hello Patricia,
Are you certain of George's d.o.b.?
1871 there is a George b. c. 1831 with son William b. 1853. Wife Maria is with him and children from her previous marriage
if he was b. abt 1830/31 then this could be him

Hi Suz
Thanks for the census information. DOG of George . . . well you right, I wasn't sure of it as there has been a couple of ages.
1871 census aged 41
1881 census aged 51
1891 census aged 61
So I think now I can safely say he was born in 1831.
Thanks for the census information on his daughters too . . . up until now I didn't know he had any.
regards

I've just realised . . . if George wasn't born until 1830 then his parents were not William & Rebecca.

There are a few Georges in 1841/51 but not with parents William/Rebecca-if you discover his parents then maybe we can find a possibility for him

Thanks Suz.
Reckon that's the end of the line for George until his parents can be found.
Thanks again
Patricia
