could anyone give me any tips on visiting Coventry Record Office, i plan a visit next week i have made notes of all the things I wish to research but am after any tips

Hi

If you are wanting original documents contact them before you visit as they have outsourced all their storage whilst they are in temp accomadation. Therefore they collected the original documents once a week, so you need to order what you want before they collect and wait until it is delivered.

I think coventry use carn tickets so take yours with you or take proof of who you are and where you live.

Hope this helps as you dont want a wasted trip.

It is by the Canal basin and there is not much room so best to book especially if you will need a reader
