Hi Colleen
I see that you have kindly offered lookups for Ystradyfodgw marriages 1837-1900.

I am looking for  information on a marriage between Margaret Phillips and Thomas Jones abt June 1873.

Hi Brian
thanks for the reply.  I did have that information.   Colleen was offering lookups for Ystradyfodwg marriages and I was wondering if the marriage indexes she has gives the parents names of bridge and groom. 

I know when I do research using parish records from England quite often the parish records have that kind of information.   

Just trying to hedge my bets before I go ahead and order the marriage certificate especially since there are so many Jones and Phillips in Wales.

Sorry about that, I tend to trust a cert. more than a Parish Record.

Hi I have checked the index for Ystradyfodwg 1837 - 1900 and your people are not on it. 

I have found in my experience the folks who married in Ystardyfodwg parish church are mostly included in this index,  it is not exclusive...and not the whole of Ystradyfodwg, where there are many church/chapels etc...The original parish church was destroyed post 1900 and was rebuilt and still stands today on the same ground in Ton Pentre.
