50 odd miles from Kirton to Grimsby seems quite a long way to me.
1851 Stainfield
James CLAYTON 51 Labourer, Langton
Elizabeth 54 Goltho
Elizabeth 17 Stainfield
Thomas 13 Farm Boy, Stainfield
David 10 Stainfield
Goltho, Langton and Stainfield are all within a few miles of Wragby - it's possible James and Elizabeth never left the area. There were some children of a Wm and Mary CLAYTON bap at Langton around 1800, but James was apparently not one of them. (IGI batch C029721)
1851
Clee
William CLAYTON 74 AgLab, Lincs Riby
Mary 74 Lincs Fulstow
Riby and Fulstow are both in the Grimsby area.
