I suggest posting a message on the Nottinghamshire look up boards for a possible christeneing for her as it was before the BMD index.
if found this should give her parents name.
have you looked on IGI?
she should appear on the 1841 & 1851 census also but i do not have access to these so cannot help you there. sorry.
i did have a look on Freeebmd for her marriage and death but there are so many.

Might this be her in 1851?

Hi Toni, Suz, Alison,
The one Alison has found looks like the one. I had two options of Ann Bacon, both born Dunham. One married name, one maiden name. The married one I have, but wanted to be able to confirm it by eliminating this one. If you follow me. ???
With this post I can now eliminate one of them. Thank you for your time. :)
Just what I was looking for, thankyou very much. :)
Many thanks
Gregg :)

I believe that one was also in the Workhouse in 1851, with a woman who was possibly her mother.
Coincidentally, there was an Ann BACON in Gainsborough Workhouse in 1861 (mar, age 32 born Stow)
Note: Dunham and Dunholme are two different places - the one "on Trent" is Dunham.

I realise Dunham and Dunholme are different places , but I had to post it as it was on the census -1871 Gives p.o.b. as Dunholme on Trent
1861 Ann is b Dunham on Trent and the nurse child next door with Thomas/Emma bacon was b. Dunholme!
1851 p.o.b. is Lincs Dunnam
Poor enumerator bet he didn't know where he was!!!!
