Title: 1871/ Cenus
Post by: scully on Sunday 27 May 07 12:55 BST (UK)
I have a William Harmison born 14/11/1872 in Kenneths Row, Kilwining. Parents James harmison and Elizabeth Hannah Grant. His Parents were married in Bellingham, Northumberland. They lived in Northumberland after William was born ,So I,m trying to find out who was living there in Kenneths Row, Kilwining  in the 1871 Cenus. Perhaps Elizabeth was Staying with relatives.

Hi Scully

There's 101 entries coming up with an address search of Kenneths Row. No Grants or Harmisons. Looks to be a mining community with the heads of households showing in the main as coal miners. There could well be family members living there but not with the surnames you have.

Regards.

Hi Scully

No Campbells showing under an address search in Kenneth's Row. Remember though that doing an address search on the index is not always accurate due to mistransciptions on names, addresses etc. I did search for Magdalen Campbell in Kilwinning - any address - but couldn't see any entry that fitted  :-\

Regards.
