Hi Andras,

Would you have any names?  ???

I can see this family in 1881, they have a grandson Fred Asquith Hilditch born ca. 1878 Yorkshire but they are from Wales ...  :-\

tati,
yes this is the family.
it appears that Martha was married to perhaps someone in Yorkshire and then came back to wales , perhaps her husband died ?

kind regards

Sorry you've lost me now.

Martha is unmarried and age 21 in 1881. Surely she wasn't married in Yorkshire in 1871?  ???
(in fact, she's with her parents in Caerwys)

Is Martha Fred's mother? If so then perhaps she wasn't married to Mr Asquith, given Fred was registered in the name Hilditch? (Fred Asquith Hilditch, June quarter 1878, Bramley 9b 417) I can see Fred in 1891 with his grandparents Asquith - would you like the details?

Just come back once you know exactly who you are looking for  :)

assumed it was the Martha hildicth born 1856
There wasn't a Martha Hilditch born 1856. She was 12 in 1871 and 21 in 1881  ;)

If it's Fred you're interested in, here he is in 1891:
RG12/3712 7 9
Burley, Yorkshire
144 Burley Rd

Samuel B Asquith, head, 64, retired Clothfuller, b. Leeds
Sarah, wife, 64, b do.
Edith H, dau, 24, b. Armley
Fred A Hilditch, grandson, 13, b. New Hartley

Wait! Tracing Samuel B(axter) Asquith back to 1881 ...

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=uki1881&indiv=try&h=24761657

He has a married daughter Catherine Hilditch. Maybe Fred is the son of this Catherine?

Marriage Catherine Asquith - John Smith Hilditch December 1877 Bramley 9b 501
John being probably the son of Thomas and Elinor who is age 18 in 1871 and who is with little Fred at his parents' in 1881.
