Hello-
Wondered how to locate info. on a death from Boers war .
1900 family has it for time
Name Wm. Charles Larner age unknown- but should be born around 1855- 1865 ? We do not know where tho.
He had married a lady named Elizabeth, they had a child named
Henrietta abt. 1900 for time frame.
I guess thats pretty much all we know on him.
then about 1913 Elizabeth left Eng. for Canada.
Elizabeth was born around 1866 ish ??
I know not much to go with is it ?
But , If we can figure out the Boers war stuff, that may help a ton..
Thanks for what ever can be brought to light with this request.
smiles- with Hugs-
LAH - Lucy

Hello-
Many, Thanks for that record from 1901..
Had me with the other child, however - she could have been married once before. Some things we learn as we go, right !
At least that gives a better area to start with now. Before this I had nothing.
So, big smiles for that.

Incidentally, the 'Cassandria' Tilbury on the 1901 census appears on freebmd as Rose Cassandied Tilbury, registered Sep 1896, Bath. There's a Henrietta Larner registered in 1901 in London, but this one appears on the 1901 census with a different family.
I suspect Elizabeth was Elizabeth Piercey originally.
Elizabeth Piercey m. possibly Charles Edwin Tilbury, Bath, Mar q. 1892
possible children:
Lucy Christian, Sep q. Bath 1892
Christopher William C, Jun q. Bath 1894
twins, Hilda Louise and Lillian May, Jun q. Bath 1896 (presumably due to the spacing these were from another couple)
Rose Cassandied (probably Cassandria) Sep q. Bath 1896
Charles Edwin dies Dec 1898, aged 31, so the remarriage of Elizabeth must be sometime between Dec 1898 quarter and the 1901 census
Still can't find the marriage. What I do find is a possible remarriage of Elizabeth Tilbury to George Coleshill, Dec 1900 in Fulham (the other two options, Frank Forth Camidge and Charlotte Anne Weatherley are definitely married in 1901).
A George Coleshill appears in 1901 in Fulham, apparently widowed, but I can't find the death of his Elizabeth (he appears with various children from an earlier marriage).
I find in Ontario marriages:
Constance Henryetta Larner, aged 21, born England, parents William Larner and Elizabeth Piercey, m. Robert Alvin Carson, aged 37, b. Ailsa Gray, parents John Carson and Annie Fawkes, married at Granton, Middlesex Co, Ontario, 14 Apr 1917.
Witness: Lillian Quinn.
Also, this seems to be Elizabeth's son Christopher in WWI in Canada:

Still can't find:
Birth of Henrietta/Constance Henryetta
Marriage of William and Elizabeth.

Thank You Jorose :)
At least its a bit more to go with, and I had wondered with the last name of 'Cassandria' being different- would this be a child of a pervious marriage.. now it apears it was .
We had guessed that the marriage to William Charles - was about the same time you mentioned here in the note..
Also- need more information on the Boer war , to locate or Wm. C. Larner's death.
This is going to be one of those ' brick walls' that comes with many "suprises" ??? is my thought on it - but each crack.. will make it fall all the way over, for the light to get in.
Thanks for your hard work.. I do appreciate it all.. and will check with family- to see if the birth in Canada for " Constance Henryetta Larner" is correct. My guess is they will know where I do not..
hugs and smiles-

Hello Lucy,
There are several Larners in the various indexes on this site;
http://hometown.aol.co.uk/kevinasplin/home.html
including a William and a W Larner, but nothing that I could find that would pin down a death date.
Regards,
Phil

Hello Lucy,
You can't beat a break. :)
Have you checked the GRO Army Death Indices? I'd forgotten all about them, then remembered finding a couple of relatives who died in India in the Army in the 1870's.
If you don't know, they are available on http://www.findmypast.com/index.html in the Military Records section.
Pay per view, unfortunately.

They are free on http://www.familyrelatives.com/.
But i can't seem to get them to work anymore!!
Thats why i haven't posted about it.
