Hi Ambers ,
I have found that most of the marriages that are on the pre 1837 marriage CD for Glamorgan ( I have the pre 1837 marriages CD ) I have noticed that they are also to be found on the IGI . So I think it's always worth searching the LDS's saints web site for the extracted records they have.
If you do a quick search under all resources section of their site , put in the year 1837 with a plus and minus 5 years , his name and his wife's first name you'll come across just a couple of results. There is an Evan Evans marrying a Catherine Harris on the 7 sept 1835 in Cadoxton.
I doubled checked on the CD and it is also on there too with exactly the same details that are on the IGI ,bar this little extra info - place of marriage "Cadoxton Nth WPB" . I also can't see another Evan marrying around those years to a Catherine in the Neath area on the CD - only one in Cardiff.
I don't tend to use my marriage CD much at all these days ( bought it a few years ago )because I find that it's much quicker to search the IGI than scroll through the CD with some of these marriages .Then I check the CD to make sure that the Glamorgan society have it transcribed too on their CD, or if not found on the IGI I then check the CD.
Anyway, I thought I'd post this info for anyone who does not own a copy of the Glamorgan society's 1569 -1837 CD, it may help a few of you out. I have found that most of the names I have searched on in the Glamorgan marriages CD are also to be found with a quick search on the IGI, and are also extracted records too.
Hope that is of some help .
Kind Regards :)

Hi Cell,
Thank you for the information you have given me about the LDS...now why didn't I think of that ???
I was just about to ask was there a CD I should be buying to help with my searches with this side of the family,...which is going well ;D
It helps to know that someone more experienced than me has compared the LDS information with a CD....to find there isn't much of a difference.
And a big 'Thank You' for taking the time to explain.
Regards Ambers
