I have 1, 4, 10, 14, 16, 19, 25, 26, 27, 29, 31, 32, 40, 46, 55, 58, 59, 67, 68, 72, 73, 87, 88, 92, 99 as ancestors in my tree. Glad to see that my surname makes the top 100 too, although that's not a good thing genealogically speaking :P
Edit: I forgot quite a few. I've got a quarter of that list just in my ancestors :P

Not many of mine in the top 100, though my g-grandmother (Winifred MOORE) comes in at 33. I have to go back to my ggg-grandmother for another common one: Mahala LEE (35).

I only have Collins and Palmer for England. I do have Moore, Murphy and Martin, but they are my Irish lot. All in all, not too bad.

I've got Wilson, Wright, Clark, Young and Stevens. Although all but Clark (my grt-grandmother) are several generations back!!
Luckily the main surnames I am researching are rare in general, but annoyingly common in their areas. :-\

I've only got one popular name (Taylor) all the others are fairly uncommon, but, like acceber's names, very common in certain areas!

I have at least 30 of the top 100 names, with my maiden name coming in at 15. If I added in from my husbands it would be considerably more.

i would advise not to use that site as the data on there is simply incorrect...my name is Salter and so i searched for that name and it had the outer hebrides coloured in purple!! I was astounded as The outer hebrides are a favourite place of mine and i just happened to be going on hilday there in the next few months. Whilst i was out there i was doing some research for someone else and i thought i would just have a flick through the phone book whihc covers the whole of Invernesshire....i was expecting to see like 100s or so - there were 2 in the entire country of Invernesshire which spans most of the highlands and islands - there was one person called Salter as i remember on the outer isles!!
