Hi ffossana,
Ontario birth, death and marriages are available to the public for free up to 1910 (Birth), 1924 (marriage) and 1933 (death).
I have looked for your George in the Ontario death's but have not found him, any suggestions on how the name may have been misspelled??
You can view the 1901 and 1911 census for free at www.automatedgenealogy.com

Living in the Uk I am not familar with the geograpy of Canada. I have looked at several sites but become very confused by dates and locations... alterntive spellings
GINGELL.. GANGELL. GYNGELL, JINGLE Both of my grandfathers left england in 1871 and arrived in Ontario.. from there I have not been able to trace them the only sighting being this 1881 census which was given to me by a friend... any help is very much appreciated. thanks

Hi Ffossana,
They are also in the 1871 index in Vaughan, York West. Surname spelling is GENGILL. This would probably be not long after they immigrated.

Hi Again,
It looks like Jonas moved to Tallula, Menard, Illinois as you thought. I found him there (if it is him) on the 1880 USA census. The reason I have doubt is that his age has changed to 40 (born 1840) and divorced.

Thanks for looking Nancy
I thought he was probably the same Jonas, I have found quite a few of the family added and knocked years off their ages.. How can I go about tracing him and his grandfather to thier deaths would they have had any sort of identification given to them when the arrived in Ontario. Its like looking for a little fish in a very big pond.. I have info on both of them from birth until they both emigrated then I am at a loss.. I found a Jonas who married in 1880 Menard Illinois to a Catharine McCormick whom I supposed he divorced... I tried to obtain a copy of a certificate for that marriage to see if it was the correct person but I have emailed Vital check several times they wrote once asking for more details which I sent but since then nothing.. no reply to any of my other emails... so dissapointing

Hi ffossana,
I think you should post something on Genealogy.com. Perhaps someone there can help you directly:
http://genforum.genealogy.com/il/
http://genforum.genealogy.com/gingell/
Hopefully someone can help you there. As for the deaths here in Canada, I don't think that all of them are posted online. Keep an eye on Ancesty and if you find something that looks promising, post your request. Many people are very helpful and would be happy to look at the image for you to check.
I hope that helps,
Nancy
