I am looking for info on John Partridge - born Sharnbrook around 1825 - but later went to live in Peterborough. Found on 1871 & 1891 census, but not the 1881 one. I think he died in 1900 as he's not on 1901 census, although his wife Ann (Suttcliff, born Woodstone , Hunts) is - still in Peterborough. He was my great-grandfather.
His father is Richard, born in Bletsoe around 1795

Frances - I've seen that info before, but discounted it as I believe my JP was born 1825, but seeing what David says - the ages may be recorded 5 years out - it may well be - but who knows!
And if in the 1841 census JP is 15 years then this ties in nicely.
My JP moved off to Peterborough, & had son, Frederick William, born 1864 + Arthur + Sarah.
David - I am that JP of 40+ years ago - it'll be good to hear from you - please contact.

Quick update - On JP's marriage certificate it confirms his father as Richard.
As found out already on 1841 & 1851 censuses, Richard is from Bletsoe & married to Mary (name ?) from Sharnbrook. They had 2 other children William & Ann, & I've found all 3 children's christenings on IGI, all in July ; John 1823, Ann 1826 William 1831.
RuthT Can anyone confirm Richard from Bletsoe parish registers ?
All/Any further info will be welcome. :)
