Please could someone help me find the death of Thomas coombs/Coombes
Thomas was born about 1779 Shropshire IGI says Burford but that has been checked and he wasn't born there - he was however married there in 1804 to Ann Powell.
The children were baptised in Clee Hill Wesleyan Chapel Caynham Shropshire the youngest child around 1816
By 1841 Thomas had died and Ann and her 2 youngest boys age 25 and 20 on that census were living in Tipton Staffordshire
I have no idea when they moved to Tipton it may have been after Thomas' death Thomas may very well have died in Caynham which is why I shall add this message to Shropshire board too
Any help would be gratefully recieved

Teresa, Thomas must have been a Non Conformist, a Wesleyan Methodist, so he is probably buried in a Non Conformist Churchyard somewhere. There are virtually no records or not many of Non Conformist Baps or Burials, records were not kept like they were for the Parish Churches, a lot of the Non Conformist Records have been lost over the years. It is the same for me, my family were all Methodists, and Pre 1900 it is virtually impossible to find them. The only good thing is that if there was no Non Conformist Graveyard at their Local Chapel, they were buried either in a C of E Churchyard or a Council Cemetery, but there again there were no Council Cemetery's in 1841 so your best bet is to trace all possible Parish Records. Good luck, hope something turns up. mrswoman.

Sorry Teresa, did not mean to throw a shadow of gloom over your day. Have you searched for a death certificate, if Thomas died after 1837? Or have you checked Pigots Directory if he had a trade? There is one for 1828 and 1835? Happy hunting, mrswoman.

There is a Thomas Coombs being buried in Kent in 1838 - on BMDregisters site - link from National Archive site - its the new releases of non-conformist records.
