Hi
I am not familiar with lancashire at all but I am trying to help my Uncle (who lives in Canada) to get a replacement photo of his Grandmother's headstone.
I have received the death certificate - she died in the Royal Infirmary 25.4.1911 but her home address was 34 Clarence Street, Lancaster. Though she may have been living with her brother at this time in Cavendish Street, Lancaster.
Can anyone tell me where she would most likely be buried?
Thank you
Susan

Quernmore Rd Cemetery would be nearest to Clarence St.

I live in Lancaster but have no rellies/ancestors here so don't know the cemeteries that well! But if you do find her burial place and need a photo, send me a PM, I'm happy to go & take one for you.

I have e-mailed the 'cemetery people' and if they are able to give me a grave location I will contact you by PM re your very kind offer to take a photo :)
Thanks again

http://www.lancaster.gov.uk/cemeteries lists the cemeteries administered by Lancaster City Council. Under Cemeteries Information (on the right) it says Grave Registers are available for public perusal and are kept at the Cemeteries Department at Morecambe Town Hall.

Hi Susan, From either address the most likely cemer=try would be Quernmore Road, although from Cavendish Road it could have been St Mary's - the Priory church - Jackie

Thanks to you all. I am sorry for not replying to these last two posts - for some reason I hadn't received notification.
I have heard from the cemeteries officer in Lancaster and it is the cemetery on Quernmore Road.
PM sent to Barbara
Thanks again :)
