You can view the Obituaries for Swansea region in the Swansea Reference Library.
You need to book the microfiche reader beforehand. If you require any print outs they charge a standard fee from the Microfiche reader currently at :35p per sheet.
The library hold many newspapers the ones you will require will be:
The Cambrian 1804 - 1930
Cambrian Daily Leader (Incomplete)
(absorbed by South Wales Daily Post 17 March 1930)
1881 - 1929
South Wales Daily Post (became South Wales Evening Post in 1932)
(Incomplete)
Feb. 1893 to date
If you need further help please ask and I will do my best to help you :) There is also another thread on here relating to Swansea Obituary searches: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=19093.0

NB: I also do obituary look up's through www.genealogyjen.com for the Swansea area.
Incidentally my G-Grandfather lived at 35 Colbourne Tce until his death in 1943 it is quite possible they knew each other !

Jen,I was wondering if you got any obituary notices on a Mary Ann Walker died dec 19th 1926,49,Colbourne terrace,i got a death certi for this person, also i went to the library last week,to see if i could see any [walkers]at this address i havent found any so far, i am going to keep looking but i thought i ask you if you have seen any,or see any can you let me know, its like looking for a needle in an haystack,if you havent got a proper death date, thxs lorraine

Hi Lorraine. I have had a look and I do not hold any Obituaries for the Walker surname.
As you have the death date it should be quite easy to trace her obituary. It would have been placed anything from around 21st. However as she died just prior to the Christmas holidays there is a small chance she did not have an obituary.
Did you visit Swansea Reference Library? They hold the Obituary notices there on microfiche, if unsure which publications to ask for say you want obituary notices from the local paper.
The two papers were running at the same time during Mary's death. I would say the 1st paper is more likely to list Mary:
The Cambrian 1804 - 1930
& The Cambrian Daily Leader (known to have some incomplete papers) 1881 - 1929
With regards to the Voters lists (I think you mention in your post) If you are having trouble locating the address it should be in the Brynmelyn Ward books.
:)
