I have recently found a family which in 1881 census (on-line)appears to be living at 9 Kymin Terr., Penarth, Glamorgan Ref: RG 11/5289/16/28 by the name of JAMES. I think it should read NANCE and would be greatful if someone could check it with the original data for me. William E JAMES/NANCE was 43 yrs. and a coal merchant born Padstow, Cornwall.
If possible could the 1861/1871 census be checked to see if they were still there then.
There are 3 other NANCE families which are in Wales in 1881 census I would liked to see if they were at the same address in 1861/1871.
Emily and family were living at 16 Longcross St., Roath, Glamorgan. (Husband was a mariner).
Horatio and Emma were at Cowbridge Rd., Sydney Villa, Cardiff St John.
Henry was at 14 Stacey Rd., Roath., Glamorgan in 1881 and was a widower by 1881. This might be the more likely location as the others had children under 10 yrs. old.
The family appears to have moved a couple of times between Cornwall and Wales and it would be nice to find where they were in 1861/1871.
Any information on the family would be appreciated.
Thank you.
