Hello
I have previously posted a message about Harry and received some useful leads, but I have not found all of the answers – yet! I have a good number of cuttings from newspapers about the races his horses ran in, but nothing on his personal life.
Harry Whiteman ran the Cree Lodge Stables in Ayr until about 1970 when he retired. Would anyone know if he died in Scotland (and when) and/or where he was born?
Thanks

Happy New Year to you both!
Thanks for your suggestions. It's a case of great minds think alike. I had received similar advice a little while ago, resulting in some good info about Harry's professional life. It might however, be worth investigating Sandy Barclay, I get the impression he's still around.
I do appreciate you taking the time to reply to my query.

Today I received Harry's and his wife's death certificates, he died in 1983, she in 1988. They died in Ayr and he was a race horse trainer. They also provide me with sufficient information to link them back to my family, albeit distant.
Thanks

Thanks Hepburn - I must admit I feel like the cat that got the cream - this window of mystery has been open for about a year! It's nice to be able to close it.
