Hi
Looking for any information on this family after the 1881 census.
Thomas Wilson Gray born abt 1819 in West Boldon, married Elizabeth Thompson from Hetton-le-Hole in 1843. Elizabeth had been born abt 1821.
Children:
Elizabeth born 1844 in Hetton
William born 29/9/1845 in Sunderland - have traced him through to his death as he is my gg grandfather.
George born 1848 Sunderland
Margaret born 1851 Sunderland
John born 1854 Sunderland
Thomas born 1857 Sunderland
Ann born 1860 Sunderland
Joseph born 1867 Sunderland.
The family are calling themselves 'Gray' on the 1851 census and, indeed my gg grandfather calls himself William Wilson Gray on his marriage certificate in 1869.
On all census from 1861 onwards the family are 'Wilson' living in Bishopwearmouth where Thomas works as a grocer or provision dealer.
On the last census that I can find the family (1881) only three children remain at home,
John aged 26
Annie aged 21
Joseph aged 16
Where did they all go??

On the Sunderland BMD Site (http://www.sunderland.gov.uk/public/editable/life-episodes/bdm/ccs09b-d-m.asp?uId=1&lvl=1&crumb=registrar%2), the groom is listed as Richard C Harkin.
Whichever name it is, I have not (so far) found them on later census returns.
