::) happy new year all
I have just found the following info and wonder how I can enlarge upon it - ie did they have any family? Where are they on the 1851 census?
31st May 1849 (Aberdeen - Bourtie)
John Wilson and Margaret Sangster both of this parish were married.
The Old Parish Records do not give ages - Did they move away from the area?
Any suggestions to help me in my quest?

Hi Hazelnuts
There is one child showing for them on IGI:
JOHN WILSON Birth: 11 JUN 1849 Inverurie, Aberdeen, Scotland
A possible entry for them in 1851:
John Wilson 30, agr. lab., b. Grange, Banffshire
Margaret Wilson 29, b. Tower, Aberdeenshire
John Wilson 1, b. Inverey
Address: New Street, Kintore, Aberdeenshire
Regards.

John Snr. may have died by 1861 (would explain why there is only one child showing for them). This looks like Margaret and son John in 1861:
Margaret Wilson 40, head, laundress, b. Tarves Aberdeenshire
John Wilson 11, son, b. Inverury, Aberdeenshire
James Law 28, lodger, joiner, b. Culsalmond
Address: New Street, Kintore, Aberdeenshire
Regards.

There is a death registered in 1856 in Kintore for a John Wilson on Scotlands People. His age is given as 40, but he could be your man.
Probably worth checking out.
Cheers
