Title: Look up request Royal Engineers

I have a suspicion that my great grandfather served in the Royal Engineers during WWI. Is anybody able verify that he did? Im not after specific documents, just the fact of knowing that he did serve in the war.

His name was Arthur James Harper, born Islington, London in 1888.

Can anyone help?
