Hello another brick wall to knock down, :)
it's good to be back on my immediate family after wandering a bit .
could someone look for
William Robert Exton , born abt 1877 in Boston,
or William Robert Exton born abt 1878 Blackburn
I am hoping that only one of them was in Lincoln on the 1891 census. ;D
Thankyou , Eilleen.

1891
4 St Martin's Hill, Lincoln
Tom EXTON 41 Tailor, Stamford
Annie 32 Notts Gosberton (her again!!!!!) :o
William 14 Boston
Tom 13 Boston
Rose 10 Boston
Edward 9 Lincoln
The other one was born and living in Whalley, just outside Blackburn :)

Thanks Geoff ,
I thought it would be mine, just wanted a double check that there was not another Robert William Exton lurking , I can now marry him off to Rose Ann Arden in 1905.
good to see you remember my great granny Annie, ;D
from Gosberton ??? ??? ;D

GeoffE, goodmorning :)
I'm after a favour, on the 1891 census, the address St Martin's hill, is frustrating me ::)
would it be possible for you to find out the name of the st, road, hill, or what ever , on either side .
Eilleen.

Morning Eilleen
15, 17, 19 St Martins Street ... 1, 2, 3, 4 St Martins Hill ... 20, 18, 16, 14 etc St Martins Street
so it looks like it was somewhere at the top of St Martins Street. It's not marked on my 1883 map of Lincoln (when St Martin's St was marked as Drapery)
-
Thanks for that GeoffE.
It's not on the 1885 or 1904 either, ::)
having said that, I have just been following the route of 1881, and it goes Brummitt's Court, no's 1 to 7, then Brummitt's court no's 1 to 5 , put different people living at same address it would seem ??? ???
got the week off work , so sticking at it.

Perhaps some sort of mixup between Brummitts Row and Brummitts Court.
The 1891 Enumerator's walk makes no mention of St Martins Hill ... Drapery, Naylors Row, Brummitts Row and CourtDrapery, Naylors Ct, Brummitts Row and Court
1881 Naylors Row, Drapery, Brummitts Row and Court
1871 - now in St Martins, not St Michaels parish - St Martins Lane, St Martins Row, St Martins Street, Mount Pleasant, St Martins Hill, Michaelgate to Brummitts Court.

Thanks again GeoffE.
bits are falling into place.

The stuff that I wrote in bold was copied from the Enumerator's walk.
