From the National Burial Index.
23/8/1831 Edwin Banks 3m Worcs, St Michael
14/1/1834 Helen Banks 18m Wocs, St Michael
14/6/1838 Sarah Banks 38 Worcs , St Michael
Please is there someone who could look in the Parish Records for any information about these people?
Do they belong to the same family?
My great great grandmother, Eliza Banks, when she married in Sydney, NSW, Australia in 1856, listed her mother as "Sarah". I don't know if this is the correct Sarah. Her father was John but I don't know when or where he died.
I believe that Edwin was her brother. I don't know about Helen.
Are there details of other Banks buried in the parish in the 19th century?
I am not familiar with British records so I do not know if I am asking the correct questions.
Are records of Christenings and marriages available in the parish records?
Thank you for your help.
Narelle.

While you are waiting.....
I wonder if Eliza's father remarried?
The IGI
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true
has the following bpts for parents John and Sarah,
bpt at St Michael Bedwardine

Eliza 25/12/1827
Mary Ann 7/2/1830
Edwin 29/5/1831
Plus at a Methodist chapel ? same couple
William Henry 1/6/1834
Enoch 24/4/1836
and at St Swithin

The 1851 census has

So far so good, then I looked in IGI for a marriage for John and found:
John Banks to Hannah Tyler, 15/10/1832, St Michael Bedwardine
so if this does all go together then Sarah presumeably died between Edwin's birth and John's remarriage ie 1831-1832
(Comes with a public health warning that it might all be a load of rubbish ;D)
