From the IGI the following marriage, it is submitted so don't know of authenticity
JOHN LORDING  and  MARY PESTER 1829   Exeter, Devon

Had a look at 1851 Census they were living in Sculcoates, Yorkshire
Mary's place of birth is given as Exeter so it could be right???

Looking at Casalguidi later reply I see you have this information already.

Hi Tigerbelle

The Romney Marsh area (includes Lydd) is covered on the Mid Kent Marriage Index but I couldn't see anything there http://woodchurchancestry.org.uk/midkentmarriages/

Looking at one of your other posts, I wonder if they were more likely to have married in Devon given the birthplace of Mary and elder children http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,200408.0.html :-\
