Looking for the marriage of John REEDMAN b. 1803 Bourn, Cambridge (I believe) to Sarah.
They have a daughter Elizabeth in March 1839 in Cambridge so I am guessing that the marriage is also in Cambridge. Sarah would be born about 1801 according to the census info.
Thanks heaps for any help.

All children seem to have been born Middlesex, Ricky. I'm not sure where the Cambridgeshire birth is :-\

Hi
The 1839 birth is reg district Bourn which is Lincolnshire. Is this being confuesed with the fact the father comes from Bourne, Cambridgeshire?

But it looks as if the 1839 birth is not a child of this couple :-\

I Had a look on here and nothing for an Elizabeth Reedman

Yep, rewind............... sorry all, It must be getting late or something....... Elizabeth IS born in Hackney according to the 1861 Census. I musta jumped on the 1839 birth in desperation because of the Bourn part......... Hey, my family was transported years ago, no return ticket, so my geography of the homeland is not too good :-)
So, they probably didn't marry in Cambridge. Looks like John might be the one whose death is in Islington in 1890 aged 88.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Birth registrations:
Caroline Mary Reedman Sep q, 1840, Shoreditch, v 2 p 322
Emma Reedman, Sep q, 1842, Shorditch, v. 2 p 335
Either of these would give Sarah's maiden name.

Hi Vera,
Elizabeth (Betsy) Reedman is my g.g.grandmother. She married John Boome in 1861 and they had 11 (known) children. I have her parents as John Reedman and Sarah Brown, and John's parents as William Readman and Catherine Farrington.
What is your connection? Would love to hear from you.. More info on the family (including photos) at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~periton/ under Family Stories.
Kind regards,
