Title: Old photo of Kirklena, Ardrishaig
Post by: Doddie on Tuesday 27 May 08 19:02 BST (UK)
A VERY long shot. Recently browsing through a book of old photographs of  Ardrishaig/Crinan canal area. Came across a picture of a  house called Kirklena in Ardrishaig. Picture taken in late 1880's. This was a large imposing building, the house my mother was born in. The photo was from a collection in a volume assembled/taken by somebody called Simpson (?) a chemist in the area. It was a thin green hard back publication. Unfortunately, cannot remember title of book. If anybody can help me I would be most grateful. A copy of the picture of kirklena would be a valuable addition to my family research.

Hello, I know this post is very old but I was wondering if you ever found a photo of Kirklena?
I know there's site on Facebook with old pics of Ardrishaig and you can see old Kirklena in them, not very close up though.
