Hi All
Can anyone find this man or his wife on any English Censuses.
It notes he was in the Bengal Civil Service but I can not find anything on him.
He is not buried with his wife at Kettering.
Her name was Caroline Jane and she died in 1926 aged 83.
Any information would be appreciated.

Hmm.... mother's maiden name Le Geyt. Registered in the Newport area of the Isle of Wight.
Charles Worsley married Madeleine/Madelina Maria Le Geyt 25 Jun 1833 St Alphage, Greenwich.
Her parents seem to have been Philip Carteret and Ann (nee Barnes) Le Geyt - if that's any use? :-\

Hi Sandy.A few details as promised, mostly obtained from Ruvigny Plantagenet Book 0f Blood Royal. cfw mother's father P.C.LeGeyt was the Secretary/Governor of Greewich Hospital. CFW was clearly an able student being a Demy of Mag col but he also was a keen/able oarsman rowing at 2 in the College Scratch Fours of1859. His career in the ICS culminated in becoming Commisioner of Patna region, his death on 07/06/1892 came shortly after he had organised a Durbar in the region. His wife Caroline Jane was dtr ofLtGen Dyott Atkinson. They had 3chi [2m 1f ] I can provide details of them if you want.

Hi Martin.
