Hello Wendy,
Thank you for the 1841 1861c infor. I am now looking for another  William Toyn without the (e) Married to a Sarah I had the Bap details of there Children sent to me from the IGI Website :)
SARAH Bap Lissington 27th November 1842
JOHN Bap Lissington 29th September  1844
ANNE Bap Lissington 18th May 1853
MARY MARIA Bap 19th October 1856
It seems to me if these are the same Children that you sent to me, so perhaps I was told the wrong parents with saying (William & Sarah Toyn.)
I am also looking for a JOSEPH TOYNE Married to SARAH !!!I got them on the 1881c on the LDS Born in West Rasen Joseph Age 41yrs abt 1840, Sarah Age 43yrs abt 1843. I am really banging my head now, so many with the same names.

Wendy,
I can't thank you enough for your help......now i can sleep tonight, I was getting rather worried as I thought they were the same children, now you have solved the issue for me.
I guess that did happen years ago, wrong ages etc & now having the parents names wrong.
Thank you also for Joseph & Sarah on 1871c I don't think they had any children.
Next thing to find Sarah's maiden name.

I wonder if you have been able to sort out this family.  I believe that they are all one and the same.  William TOYN married Mary STOKES (I do not have a record of date and place).  Joseph was their son, born August 1839 in Corringham (see the 1841 census), married Sarah SLACK 5 Aug 1863 in West Rasen (see the 1871 census).

Their other children, Sarah, John, Emily, Emma, Anne and Mary Maria were all born in Lissington.  Emma died at the age of 6 months and all of the other children were in Lissington in 1861, although John was not living with his parents.  You have the 1871 census entry which has William and Mary living with her brother Henry STOKES.  Mary died 21 May 1872 in Lissington, and I believe that William may have remarried the following year (see FREEBMD), probably to Sarah BOOTH.

William died 4 Feb 1874 and his will, proved 11 Jan 1875, contains bequests to:
-  his wife Sarah
-  Henry STOKES of Lissington (no relationship specified)
-  his son Joseph
-  his son John
-  his daughter Sarah the wife of John BAILEY
-  his daughter Emily the wife of William CHAPMAN
-  his daughter Ann
-  his daughter Mary Maria

After this will was signed, I believe that Ann married (1877 in Sheffield, I think her husband was James HEWITT) and Mary Maria married Charles Henry SANDERSON 3 January 1876 in Middle Rasen.

William was baptised 12 June 1809 in Broxholme, the son of Joseph TOYN and Hannah WILSON.  The Hannah who was living with William's family at the time of the 1841 census was, I think, his sister Hannah Wilson TOYN, born April 1815, died Dec 1877, who never married.

This Joseph TOYN, William's father, was baptised 13 Nov 1771 in West Rasen and was one of the elder brothers of my Gt-gt-gt grandfather William TOYN (baptised 30 Nov 1781 in Linwood).  I have more information on the family.

Graeme,
Well what can I say  ;D first I think a very BIG THANK YOU is in order, I agree with what you said they are the same family. All this new information you have sent on Williams remarriage & the will etc all new for me, I have'nt taken it all in yet, I will print it off & study it & enter in my Tree Prog. I do really appreciate you sending that for me, any more information I would greatly appreciate, where did you find it all. I did realize Hannah was Williams Sister, I believe she was a Nurse. Emily Toyn (e) Married a Gt Uncle of mine, William Chapman his brother Henry Chapman born Sotby 1848 was my Gt Grandfather, there parents were Thomas & Elizabeth Chapman I am now trying to go back again to there parents, if you understand.
So Graeme I understand your interest on the  WilliamToyn(e)s. 1771.
Will look forward to hearing from you again,
Lots of thanks,
Rita
