Title: a try at photo dating and restoration
Post by: lily2103 on Monday 08 September 08 06:20 BST (UK)
Hi everyone, while going through my grandmas house I found an old photo.  I was hoping someone could try to clean it up as I have no clue how to do so.  I believe I know who is pictured based on faint writing on the back but I want to make sure it is the right time period as many names repeat themselves, and I believe both individuals share a name, Ballantyne.  I dont have a scanner so I'm posting different copies of the picture taken with another camera.  From damage to the photo it is clear that it was originally black and white and color was later added.

Thanks,
lily

I tried, better than the original, no improvement on any of the others though...
As to the date...
I think the boy is wearing a Norfolk Jacket, but they were in for such a long time.....
Shot in the dark...!890-1905
Don't quote me, just a guess.  :-\
