I cant see a marriage for him on the IGI in Yorkshire, do you have any other details to help find it  ???

I cant see a marriage for Robert and Jane either on the IGI I am afraid.  :(

Hi, Nickb, Itis indeed Roberts son, with daughter. William had three daughters , Ellen, Jane, and Mary, my greatgrandmother, On census night Marys husband Richard, Afisherman was I assume away at sea. Jane was afishermans wife, I dont know if Ellen married. Thank you for the information. Best Wishes Clive

Pallots marrige index mostly covers ther London area, but its always worth a try if you have got nothin else to go on.

This is the only I can see on the 1841, he appears also in 51, 61 and 71 gives born in the same place Emsall as the 41

Hi, patrish, looks interesting, I had another ancester come from that area, Darton in 1807. at age 55 that would make him born in about 1786.  and being in the 71 census would make him very old, but not impossible. thank you for your time and interest .Best Wishes Clive.

In 71 he is aged 85 a widow  and in the Archbishop of Holgate Hospital
