Title: McCrea in Tempo Enniskillen
Post by: louisemccrea on Friday 10 October 08 23:04 BST (UK)
Hi

I am looking for any help with my family i have bits of info but not sure where is best to find the rest i'm a bit stuck what i have is

James McCrea and Rebecca Smyth married 29 May 1863 Enniskillen reg. office. On marrage record it gives fathers names James McCrea labourer and William Smyth Army pensioner

Their children
Anne Jane McCrea born 29 sep 1864 in Tempo
Robert John McCrea born 22 Apr 1869 in Tempo
                   Married 3 jan 1902 Glasgow to Mary Jane Fitzsimmons
                   Died 11 oct 1944 Glasgow
Rebecca McCrea born 1 aug 1871 in Tempo
William McCrea born 10 dec 1873 Tempo
               married 8 dec 1897 church of Ireland Tempo to Rebecca
               Fitzsimmons they have 2 kids Lizzie and William

It gets a bit weird as Robert and Williams wifes are sisters as well as their first cousins robert and wiliams mother Rebecca Smyth was the sister of mary and rebeccas mother Eliza Smyth.

Eliza married a William Fitzsimmons and daughter mary jane was born 21 nov 1869 and died 21 nov 1935 in Glasgow before she married Robert she was maried to a Nicholas Coughlan this is a compleat mystery and only know this from her death and 2nd marrage cert

If anyone can fill in any missing links it would be great and any ideas on how to find any links would be much appreciated

Thanks for your patience
Louise ;D

It looks as though you might have the births and marriages which took place after the start of civil registration. There will be no birth certificates for people born before 1864,no Catholic marriage records before 1864 (before 1845 for other marriages).
You next step might be to search for church records if you haven't done so already.

hi again louise,

theres your 1st clue i think;
"...william smyth army pensioner"

an army pensioner living in enniskillen brings to mind the royal inniskillen fusiliers. it might be worth checking out;
