Title: 1851 census look up please

hi can anyone do me a favour? trying to trace parents of  thomas jefferis born 1836 ? spouses name was sarah not sure of her last name, but the family were mainly from st philip and st  jacob. possibly st george . can any one help please

This seems to be the only THOMAS JEFFERIES / JEFFERIS  that fits the bill.

HO 107/1953
folio 368   page 50   Shd 215

JEFFERIES Samuel 57 Lewad Smelter Baptist Mills
Jane 55 Washer & Ironer Kingswood
LONG Eliza Daughter Married 20 Power Loom Weaver Gloucester St. George
JEFFERIES Thomas 18 Lead Smelter Labourer Gloucestershire St. George

hi geoff thanks for your reply , it sounds good, but im querying the age as our thomas would have been 15 according to the 1871 census, he was then living with wife at 21 lee st ,parish of st philip and jacob rg11/2496 ed17 folio99 page 13.anyway you can double check this for me,

Hi Krissy,

The recheck was a good idea.
I found another Thomas and this one is 15 years old.
HO 107/1944 shd 29 of section VI. sorry no folio or page stated.

parish of Oldland

JEFFERIES George, 54 years, Shop keeper, born Bitton.
Hannah, 52 years, born Bitton
Daniel, 17 years, Blacksmith, born Bitton
Sarah Ann, 17 years, Bonnet Maker, born Bitton
THOMAS, 15 years, Ag Lab, born Bitton,

Bitton & St George seem to be villages surrounding Oldland.
Hope this is him.
