I would be very grateful if anyone going to the records office could possible look up a marriage for me.

It is Anthony Titley and Catherine Brumpton on the 16th June, 1812 at St Mary's the Parish Church,
Hainton.   I have this info from the IGI but any more details would be really helpful.  I am trying to work out if it is the correct Anthony Titley.

Just got back from Lincoln Archives.  I can confirm that Anthony Titley (Bach)  married Catherine Brumpton (Spin) both of this parish by Licence at St. Mary's, Hainton on 16 June 1812 by R Curtois, Curate.  Both signed.  Witnesses Charles Brumpton and Elenor(?) Titley.

Also came across another marriage for a Farr Brumpton (Bach) to Mary Bell (Spin) both of this parish on 26 May 1812.  Witnesses Charles Brumpton and Catherine Brumpton.

Hope this helps if only for elimination purposes.

My Anthony Titley had a daughter called Elenor Titley, which is an unusual spelling and so I think that looks promising.  Was there any mention of his occupation?

The other marriage is interesting too, thank you.

Glad to be of service!  I have no rellies from Lincolnshire, so I enjoy fishing around for other people's.  I appreciate it when others look for mine in RO's in other parts of the country.

But sorry - no mention of an occupation for Anthony.

Hi Elin

Anthony and Catherine Titley were my 5x great grandparents. Regarding Anthony's occupation, I believe that he was a Gamekeeper at Hainton Hall.

Thank you for your response, Catharine and Anthony were my 3xGt Grandparents.  Their daughter
Eleanor was my direct line from them.  I know that Anthony was a gamekeeper but I don't think
that I knew where.

Which of the siblings is your direct line?

Elizabeth (b1833)  is my direct ancestor from Anthony and Catherine although my information on her is a bit sketchy. I know that she married John Chapman c1860
