Eilleen.

If you have her on the 1861 - would you post full details of that entry please. Particularly her parents details.
-
Fanny Elizabeth died in 1860 (see IGI)
-
Hi CarolW, :)
I only have her from 1881 onwards , when she is with her husband Benjamin Peet, and young daughter Hannah Peet,
Fanny Elizabeth Stocks married Benjamin Peet in Lincoln st Switherns 25th Nov 1879.
The IGI , seems to have killed her off not long after her birth :D unless there were two Fanny Elizabeth Stocks born at the same time. ( Geoff has found this :))

I am just checking my maths :D
Fanny Peet ( nee Stocks ) died in 1884 , age given as 28 yrs , so that makes birth abt 1856,
which is the same as on the 1881 census.
but she is definatly called Fanny Elizabeth Stocks at her marriage ???
Eilleen.
-
Sue, Hello :)
That looks like them,
and I think on the IGI , who killed Fanny Elizabeth Stocks off, she had those parents, will just go check again. :)
Eilleen.

Do you have her marriage cert?
If so - what was her fathers name and occupation?
How old was she when she married

Perhaps they had two of them ... one was certainly buried 3 Feb 1860 aged 6 months, National Burial Index.
Births Sep 1859

Please do not get cross with me, :)
Going back to my first question,

before she marries Benjamin Peet in 1879.

No - her birth is registered as Fanny Elizabeth Cunnington Stocks so she has been given Cunnington as a christian name - not as a surname
Perhaps her father was William Cunnington and perhaps he was already married at the time Fanny was born so was unable to marry Sarah until his wife died ??
Have you checked the 1861/71 for William Cunnington
-
The 1881 for Tealby has
William Cunnington 45 b Edenham - Police constable
Sarah A 47 b Pinchbeck
Jemima A 8 niece b Spalding
RG11/3282/ 71/5
The marriage was in 1874 but the Sarah above should only be around 41 as she was 21 in 1861
-
CarolW.
Thats novel, if they are related to Fanny Elizabeth Peet ( nee Stocks )
Fanny was up in court in Lincoln in 1880 , heavy with child,
and accussed of stealing,
Eilleen.
-
Have you checked the 1861/71 for William Cunnington
He was a copper in 1861, single in Lissington
and in 1871 (with Sarah Ann 36) in Osgodby. Now was she from Pinchbeck or Lincoln - or were there two of them too?
-
Re: 1871 - that could be the September 1861 marriage to Sarah A Reese in Spalding
-
:) :)
So no sign of a Fanny Stocks aged abt 15yrs, born in Lincoln.
in the 1871 census ;D
Eilleen.

Re: 1871 - that could be the September 1861 marriage to Sarah A Reese in Spalding
Yes (or REESON) 16 Aug 1861 at Surfleet.
-
This maybe will not help at all, :)
in 1891 Benjamin Peet was a widow of 7 yrs, he is lodging with two other people at
2, Abbey Place,
but his and Fanny's daughter Hannah Peet,
born 1880, and died in Lincoln aged 39yrs in 1921
she was not with her father in 1891, when she would only be 11 yrs old, wwhere was she ? maybe with grandparents
Eilleen.

No - there isn't
You really need to wait until you have resolved all the issues re: Fanny before going on to the next request about her daughter- it will only confuse this post
Any further requests should be made as a separate post and you need to include the link to this one as well to avoid any duplicated efforts - this is the link

Now ... about Sarah Ann STOCKS - assuming she married William CUNNINGTON in 1874, there were two Sarah Anns on the page - well marriage doesn't seem to have been good for her health ...
Deaths Dec 1874
CUNNINGTON Sarah Ann (34) Lincoln 7a 341
If you look again at Fanny PEET in 1881, click "previous household" and you will find a widowed William CUNNINGTON. I wonder if that was yer man? I wonder who the mother of the younger children was. ;)

So William CUNNINGTON had "known" Sarah Ann STOCKS for nearly 15 years and she had at least 6 of his kids. I wonder if he only married her when it was clear she was going to die.
I can confirm that Major PEET was Ben's elder brother (aged 5 and 3 in 1861). Ben was a Shoeblack in 1871.
I have erased Annie MOORE from my memory.
