Does anyone have any of the above names in their family ancestory or know of them, most from Brixham Devon.
Would love to find siblings & marriages of the following & parents of Richard Youlden b:c1660 who married Jane Porter b: c 1660.
Their daughter was Joan Youlden b: 13 Dec 1688 who married John Gempton on 22 Apr 1716
Their son was John Gempton b:c1720 who married Mary Campin 11 July 1749
Their son was John Gempton b: 1751 who married Agnes BOONE Brixham Devon.
If you can help me with above families would be very much appreciated. Thankyou

My husband, Ronald Ellis, his great-grandmother was Agnes Youlden who married John Ellis. Agnes was born about 1846 and died May 31, 1928 and was buried in the Shadycombe Cemetery in Salcombe, Devon, England. From what I know her parents were John and Johanna Youlden. Agnes had brothers named, Henry and Edwin. I don't know if any of these names fit into your Youlden family. I would be interested in learning more about the Youlden family in Devon. And, I would like to learn more about the Shadycombe Cemetery as far as if there are any published on-line records for it. Thank you.

Hello Linda....I'm not too sure if ours are the same line I'm afraid as I have been going back from my Moore & Gempton families, hence the early date of my Youldens.
If I find there is a connection will let you know..it's quite possible.
Appreciate your posting.
Thankyou,
Tiffaney

There were surname. YOULDONs, male and female around Toongabbie in Gippsland VIC. from the 1830s
The name Youldon has been continued in my maternal line as a female name.
Do not know where they originated.

Thank you all for writing and posting your information. I've got to think that the Youlden surname is not that common, that somewhere back in time exists a common ancestor for all of these Youlden folks, especially if they go back to Devon. Thank you.

Thank you also for your input Crabby.
Haven't done much research on YOULDENS so perhaps I'd better get cracking.
Let you know if I find anything of interest.
