Title: National Burial Index
Post by: royjan on Thursday 05 March 09 21:37 GMT (UK)
Could anyone do a search for me please?  I am looking for the death of James Bartram (may be spelt wrong) from 1935 onwards. It should be in the Battersea area of London.

Many thanks
Jan

None there

However there is no coverage of Battersea in the NBI

Try the death registrations

& don't bother contacting Wandsworth Council (they cover all cemetaries in SW London) they are so unhelpful & want to charge £30.00 for each search of their burial records.  You cannot even contact the offices at the relevant cemetaries as I believe they no longer have the old records there.

I have had to deal with W.council a few times and on all occassions bar 1 they were actually quite rude.  We know that they are busy, but if an equally busy small office can be civil why can't they

Hi Jan

Do you know the year he was born?  It's not a particularly uncommon name and it might help to narrow things down a bit

Hi royjan,

A couple of questions - what was the event in 1935 that showed he was
alive up until then?

Is this the same James? http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,362251.msg2386020.html#msg2386020
