Good afternoon,
To complete my previous post, I would be grateful if anyone would be kind enough to supply the 1861 & 1871 Census details for:
John VEAL b. c1820 Claxby Pluckacre. Occ. Ag. Lab.
Susan (wife), b. 1819 Stickford.
They married in 1840 and had 5 children by the 1851 Census:
- Mary A. b. Friskney 1841
- Eliza b. Friskney 1843
- John b. East Kirkby 1844
- Jarvis b. East Kirkby 1846
- Letitia b. East Kirkby 1849
In 1881 Susan is a widow living with 2 further children:
- Martha J. b. c1854
- Mark b. c1863 (I cannot find him in Free Bmd's - thte only one around there seems to be possibly a Mary VEAL, but the 1881 records definitely states a son of 17)
Both born East Kirkby.
Susan and children are still living in East Kirkby in 1881
I think John VEAL probably died in 1863 (2ndQ), so would figure in 1861 but not in 1871 when Susan would be a widow.
Many thanks for any help.
Nick
