Can anyone please tell me who are shown living at 5 Foundry Row, Cwmbran Newport in both the 1901 and 1911 censuses. I am particularly looking for a Z Davies in both censuses, and a W Luffman in 1911.

Hi Redroger
1911 is PPV, but there is a Wilfred Luffman in Newport, or a William Luffman in Pontypool. You would have to buy credits to see it.

Thanks Ricky,Unfortunately both Wilfred and William Luffman fit the known facts,i.e Private W.Luffman 5901 Dorset Regiment, killed Belgium 3.12.1914, son in law of Mr. A. Davies 5 Foundry Row Cwmban Mon.From somewhere I have it recorded that his wife was Z. Davies, but I cannot find the source reference for this. All info from CWGC. Wilfred married Edith at Newport in Sept quarter 1907; William married Mabel Dec quarter 1911. There were three women in the 1911 census in Monmouthshire who had a Z in their forename; the one at Newport was 15 in 1911, which makes things a little difficult.

Information from a tree provided by another researcher which I had forgotten I had, suggests that the person in question may in fact have been Wilfred. Does this help any one?
