Of course, Robert's birthplace was Stamford St Martin, the place they were living.

From Genuki-
St. Martin's Church was in Stamford Baron, across the River Welland in Northamptonshire (over the the county boundary).

The boundary has now been "adjusted" to include all of Stamford -
