Can anyone help with advice how to find information about a deceased realtive who emigrated to Australia ?
Who/where to contact etc ?

It will depend on how long ago the death was. Each State differs as well for time froms of death certificate general availabilty.
Tell us the name of the deceased, when and where he/she was born and his parents names if you have all this and when he/she came to Australia.

Here are all the details I have.
Jack Green born abt 1903 West Sussex,possibly Cuckfield. His father was John Green
Left for Australia around 1920,s.
Known to have worked for PostOffice & possibly lived in Melbourne.
May have married a Pat surname unknown.

The Ryerson has one Jack Green that is very close to the birth year you have given us
JAck Green died aged 95 died 22/1/ 2009 I have had a check of Victoria and nothing matches up to 1984 no deaths with parents names and no death close to the right age. No marriage in Victoria up to 1942 for a Jack Green marrying a Pamela.
I noted free BMD had a birth of a Jack Ernest Green in 1903 in Cuckfield.

Sorry to intrude but Jack Green`s spouse`s name could have been Pat not Pamela. :D

Sure the BMD is correct as all the family lived around that area, in West Sussex.
Wife's ? name now thinking about it I feel that PAT is probably correct.
I met her once when they came to UK for a visit, I was only a child at the time.
Hopefully Pat is correct & may help.

Yes have all that info !
Arrived in UK about 14th Oct 1958 & Left for Aus 8th Dec 1958.
Hope that helps. also believe his middle name was Ernest

from the precise dates you have supplied!!!!!
Stratheden arrived 14th October 1958 from Sydney Australia
R. Green born 25/3/1901 and M A Green born 26/8/1898 arrived 14th Oct 1958 address in England Mountfield House, Mountfied road, Lewes Sussex. both retired
Do you know if your couple arrived by boat? or did they fly?
