Post by: alf on Thursday 03 September 09 08:44 BST (UK)
Hi
Could some kind person please take a photograph of the headstone of 2nd Lieutenant Edmund  Barnes Royal Flying Corps  who was killed 27th January 1918 and is at rest in Grantham Cemetery Location 4 J 28. It appears that there are quite a few for the 4.J section all toll there are 114 war graves

Many regards

Hi Alf

If no-one is able to get this photo for you try this site

http://twgpp.org/

It is a volunteer project to photograph all the British war graves.  I have done a search and they have a photo of your chap's grave in their database.  They will e-mail a copy for £3 or post a hard copy for £5.

Hope this is helpful

Hi Susan

I know about that site I was a volunteer for the original project.  The volunteers did the foot work for free, now they want payment. enough said.

Alf

I too was a volunteer Alf.  I still think it a very worthwhile project.
