Title: Edward Bricknell
Post by: lesley29 on Monday 14 September 09 14:21 BST (UK)
Hello

I am researching Edward Bricknell of Jersey.  It would seem that Edward was a British Subject, born in India.  He married Maria Cahill in Jersey in 1894 while serving with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Militia Island of Jersey.  Their son, Edward John Bricknell, was born in Gibraltar in 1898, one of twins, the other of whom died at, or shortly after, birth.

Edward senior's marriage and Edward Junior's birth are on the Army Records List available on line from Findmypast.com and I wonder if anyone can tell me if certificates are available for these two events?

I also wonder if either of the Edwards served in the First World War?

Any information would be gratefully received.
