Title: Beatrice Street Everton
Post by: VICTORIA on Thursday 01 October 09 12:21 BST (UK)
Hi Can anyone tell me where Beatrice Street Everton Liverpool 5 is situated. I know it is in close proximity to Dryden Street off Scotland Road. It is still listed in my A-Z book  4c 45 but I can not find it ( eyesight not too good )

Hiya Victoria.....on mapquest uk it shows three parallel streets
Dryden st
Virgil st
Rachel st
I can`t see Beatrice st.. BUT between Dryden st and Virgil st towards the top of these streets is a street that connects to both of them...It isn`t named on the map....I can only think it`s this street.....gonna try another site....back later ...allan ;)

Hi Alan, thank you for looking, I think I have spotted it :)
If you follow Dryden Street to Wilbraham  Street then Penrhyn St then Chapel Gardens These Streets are off Great Homer Street. On the other side of Great Homer Street opposite Chapel Gardens is a small street Beatrice Street next to Awkright Street My grandmother lived there in 1906.
The ironic thing is my daughter lives in Chapel Gardens  :o
We did not know location of Beatrice Street. Now we do :)
Thanks again for your help.

Victoria :)

A lot of that area was cleared around the time the 2nd Mersey Tunnel was built.  A Beatrice Walk did keep the name, near the remains of Arkwright St, but that may have gone too, in later upsets.

Hello Victoria,
I know I am a little late with this map.
I was also looking for Elias St. and Beatrice St. on the old maps at the record office. Anyway, I thought I'd post it in case anybody else should be interested.

OOps sorry, I can't attach the cropped image. It may be something to do with copyright I guess.
Learning all the time, I can't put an image on a request board, silly me.

Thanks everyone for your help. The next time I visit my daughter I will take a walk over to where the street was to see what is there now.

There's no trace of it left. That whole area has been demolished at least twice over in my lifetime.
