1881 RG11 3215/108 p.5. Henry Danby Head 30 Farmer unmarried b Fishtoft
Maria Danby Sister 34 Hskpr unmarried b Norwich
William Benton nephew 14   b Boston West
Elizabeth Leedle domestic 18 b Cambridge
Edwin Danby   brother Gent 33 b Norwich
So apparently the parents are dead, Frederick is dead or migrated, Edward (or Edwin) has made it in a big way, and Julie has married a Benton and is the mother of William. Hope this helps.

That's what I thought, :)

So while I pop to Morrisons,

I have a carrot to dangle, Mr Charles Danby ,the father of the above children is suposed to have, maybe, fathered some children by Ann Elliff unmarried sister.

will be back shortly.

Eilleen. :)

Well that appears to be the case then, as her Father is with them in 1851 Census ;D

Was there are prevoius marriage then and Ann only came on the scene before 1841 Census?

When were these children supposedly born, and what was the name of Ann's sister, their mother? I would expect them to appear on the census as Elliff.

As Ann, nee Elliff seems to appear on 1841/1851 Census I presume the latter children are born to her and Charles?
At least 2 are christened to them Fishtoft.
Others born to Anns sister could have left home by 1841 Census also.

Hi Trish,

hope you got enough sleep, after your late night. :)

there seems to be quiet alot of Danby and Elliff families around Fishtoft and that area,
so needle in a haystack thingy. :)

any chance of anyone finding Thomas Elliff born 1772 , Boston
on the 1841 census ,     ??? it might show some more daughters name's

Eilleen.

Married to Charles DANBY 1 May 1828, St Nicholas, Skirbeck Lincs.
Parents Thomas ELLIFF 1772-1860 and Anne CLARK who married Boston Parish Church 11 June 1799
